Spring time

I love this time of year. Today I spent a lot of the afternoon working out in my flower beds. It is a rare day to not have rain. I got 1 bed weeded and compost put down. Planted some sweet peas and forget me nots. I love seeing the plants come to life after winter. My clematis are doing amazing. I currently have 14 different types. I bought 3 new types last spring and have had them in pots since then. Some of them already have flower buds. I will need to get them planted in the ground soon. Just need to find a place as my front yard is full. We are hoping to get a patio put in the back yard as we tore out our deck last summer. We will also be taking on the daunting task of landscaping our back yard. It is a mess after having to tear it up 2 summers ago to fix our septic. Oh the joys of owning a house.

That's cool that you have so many different types of clematis. I like working in my flower beds too. It's a lot of work but it's just so rewarding in the end and that makes it worth the work.

I like to get my flower beds going in the spring and keep them pretty too. But I definitely didn't like it until I was older. It's such a funny thing- that we all like it now, because I didn't when I was younger!

I know I did not start liking it until about 4 years ago. I am always looking for new and interesting plants to add to my gardens.
